Job Title:Talent Acquisition Manager
Location:
Metairie, LA

Position Overview:

The Talent Acquisition Manager provides leadership and recruiting support to hiring authorities and Talent Acquisition teams across all facilities; monitoring, analyzing, and facilitating ATS processes and procedures; acting as a liaison between subcontract vendors and the company; interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, or regulations; and conducting special projects.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Builds close working relationships with hiring authorities and HR teams across all facilities in order to understand short-, medium- and long-term recruiting needs and support recruiting initiatives.
  • Recommends strategies to support the identified needs and secures agreement.
  • Develops and recommends recruitment programs and collateral material, such as recruitment advertising, ad copy and brochures, to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.
  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source high quality candidates.
  • Initiates contact, screens and follows up with possible qualified candidates for specific openings, and refers candidates to hiring authorities as required.
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract candidates.
  • Supports the Organization in making presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and production/craft opportunities.
  • Utilizes on-line recruiting resources as needed.
  • Works closely with facility and the Company's HR team to develop and share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs, and coordination on major initiatives.
  • Delivers proactive communication to HR Director regarding progress against agreed-to business specific staffing plans.
  • Harnesses data analytics and metrics to drive success.
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with applicant tracking and other business requirements.
  • Provides leadership in order to improve testing methods to ensure a qualified workforce.
  • Assists facilities with the coordination of housing and transportation issues, as needed.
  • Travels as needed.


Qualifications:



  • A minimum of six (6) years of Human Resources, preferably within a managerial role.


Skills and Abilities:



  • Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of onboarding strategies, recruiting talent sourcing practices, and tools including experience using an ATS system.
  • Basic computer skills using MS office programs such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to contain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel to supporting facilities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws.
  • Works well within a Team environment.
  • Strong understanding of analytics and staffing metrics
