Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $78,000(minimum) - $102,000(midpoint) - $125,000(maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Client Architecture: Provides basic level knowledge of desktop architecture and management technologies, including enterprise level client imaging, client software management, and implementation of next generation client technologies.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional IT teams to ensure integrated and seamless IT solutions for client PCs.

  • Provide Technical Guidance: Offer support to junior team members, enhancing their understanding of architectural best practices.

  • Analyze IT Support Needs: Partners with clients and cross-functional IT teams to gather requirements, build consensus, and ensure seamless integration of IT solutions with existing systems.

  • System Administration: Support infrastructure needed to for modern PC management. Perform routine updates and upgrades to ensure software and hardware remain secure, stable, and compatible. Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and IT security policies.

Key Skills:

  • Technical Architecture: Implement and support current and next generation PC architecture globally.

  • Communication: Ability to clearly articulate complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing across various cultures within the organization.

  • Problem Solving: Adept at identifying and resolving technical challenges using analytical and experience-based approaches. Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Provide Level 3 support globally.

  • Customer Service: Proficient in building and maintaining strong relationships with Woodward members to understand and address their IT needs. Strong customer focus and a customer service orientated mentality.

  • Technical Documentation: Experienced in creating comprehensive technical documentation to support architecture and implementation processes. Create detailed procedural documentation for use by global team members. Contributes to IT support knowledge base.

  • Team Collaboration: Works with cross-functional global teams to improve communications and coordination among IT teams. Provides informal guidance to newer team members. Mentors and provides technical guidance to IT analysts.

  • Technical Expertise: Manages the desktop environment using group policies in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment. Experience with imaging technologies, scripting languages, software packaging, distribution, and patch management.

  • Project Coordination: Competent in managing project tasks and timelines. Acts as a liaison between Woodward's IT Infrastructure Department and Global IT Support Services.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate business and IT requirements into solutions that are in line with industry trends for client PCs. Use the solutions to set the standard for applications, imaging and configuration of client PC environment.

  • Time Management: Manages and works on more than one task at a time; above average time management skills. Works with some supervision.

Successful Candidates Typically Have:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of experience working as an architect

  • 6-9 years of experience working with client computer hardware and software within a
    global environment will be considered in lieu of a BA/BS degree.

  • Microsoft, Comptia or Project Management (MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, PMP, CLE)
    certifications preferred

  • Some potential travel
