Job Purpose

This position ensures inventory integrity-a critical component of accurate financial reporting. By combining inventory oversight, SOX compliance, root-cause resolution, and continuous process improvement, this role strengthens internal controls, minimizes risk, supports audit readiness, and drives strategic insights across the organization. This position is based out of Wichita, KS and is required to be onsite 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate inventory processes, including perpetual and periodic systems.
  • Supervise cycle-count programs and full physical audits-review plan schedules, supervise execution, support investigation of discrepancies, and follow up root-cause analyses for unexplained variances and action plan implementation.
  • Follow up SOX testing of key inventory-related financial controls: design, documentation, effectiveness, remediation
  • Maintain internal control frameworks, SOX documentation (control narratives, flowcharts, control matrices), and monitor control environments
  • Support internal and external audits-coordinate, guarantee that industrial controllers prepare evidence, report deficiencies, and implement corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen inventory processes-update policies (SOPs), streamline operations, and implement best practices
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, IT, and Internal Audit.
  • Develop reports and dashboards (e.g., using Power BI, Excel, Power Query) to track compliance status.
  • Provide training and guidance on inventory policies, SOX controls, count procedures, and change initiatives.

Experience Required


  • 5+ years experience.








  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.







  • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.); advanced Excel.







  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication, project management capability, and ability to build cross-functional relationships.





Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in inventory management, financial reporting, or SOX/internal audit roles; experience with cycle counts and physical inventories.







  • Desirable understanding of SOX 404 and ICFR, including design, testing, remediation, and documentation frameworks (COSO).







  • Familiarity with Power BI/data tools.




Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD$72,750.00 - $106,700.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
