Job Description

Join our dynamic Visa Cybersecurity - Product Security Engineering team, a key component of Visa's Technology organization, where you will play a crucial role in securing and innovating Visa's products and services. Our team is at the forefront of technology, delivering secure, high-quality, and easy-to-use products that enable Visa and our partners to rapidly and efficiently innovate.

Cyber Products operationalizes the usage of AI and decision intelligence to ensure ongoing business values. As part of the team, you will be required to own key modules, perform code and design AI architectural reviews, suggest best practices and implement design and development standards. The role is for a specialist with practical experience in generative AI, a strong passion for problem-solving, expertise in modernizing legacy code, and enthusiasm for adopting emerging technologies such as large language models (LLMs).

The Opportunity:

This role requires an experienced AI/ML engineer with a passion for working on LLM-based applications. The team is tasked with building key AI/ML applications and scalable pipelines. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of developing multiple AI applications and be adapt at managing the entire spectrum of AI application development while leading multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering specific project deliverables as an AI Engineer.

  • Providing guidance to the engineering team on building new LLM applications and leveraging existing AI applications.

  • Improving the productivity of the engineering organization by infusing AI into our coding standards and practices.

  • Acting as the AI projects design authority.

  • Shaping best practices and methodologies within the team.

This role involves 70% AI and 30% Core automation and application development. The successful candidate should be open to working on infrastructure automation development to understand the current processes and suggest enhancements to improve productivity using LLM models. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong AI engineering credentials to increase their knowledge and experience in the Security Domain.

Essential Functions:

  • Works directly with product owners to gather and refine requirements across products, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions across the organization.

  • Develops and designs advanced architect solutions that are robust and scalable, considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem.

  • Provides domain expertise on the development of technical documentation of solutions and contributes to standard processes in technical documentation as needed.

  • Plays a key role in the development and delivery of new features across products from end-to-end.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

*Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or closely related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.

*Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems.

*Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

*Strong knowledge in AI/ML and data technologies, with expertise in Python and Java.

*Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring, Python, and Angular/React.

*Advanced degree or certifications in AI/ML is a plus.

*Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and software development.

*Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Docker, Kubernetes, Scikit-learn).

*Demonstrated experience in developing scalable AI pipelines and integrating models into real-time systems.

*Proven track record of managing and executing multiple high-impact LLM-based projects, balancing delivery speed with quality.

*Ability to showcase productivity improvement by collecting relevant metrics.

*Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

*Ensure technical quality and reliability of AI solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and implementing frameworks for scalable data ingestion.

*Optimize AI application performance and efficiency.

*Collaborate across teams to drive AI innovation, while expanding your expertise within an experienced, inclusive, and international team.

*Highly skilled in realizing the full potential of LLM-based AI frameworks.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 94,000.00 to 132,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
