If you are a passionate supply chain leader and enjoy developing people, this role is for you! Reporting to the Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain for Electrical Connections, in this senior leadership role you will be responsible for key areas supporting global supply chain for a fast growing $1.2B segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes and possess excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Sourcing and Procurement:
  • Oversee all global sourcing activities for the segment, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure long-term stability and collaboration.
  • Implement strategic sourcing methodologies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Drive supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives through the supply chain.
  • Develop best-in-class processes and key performance indicators to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with enterprise supply chain teams to leverage cost and supplier relationship size and scale to attain the best operational and financial performance.
  • Keep up on global economic trends and commodity market intelligence.
Demand & Supply Planning:

Lead the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) Process:

  • Ensuring alignment across demand, supply, finance, and commercial teams to support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance.

Demand Planning:

  • Gather and analyze data to support accurate demand forecasting.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through improved service levels.
  • Reduce inventory costs by aligning forecasts with actual demand.
  • Enhance decision-making through data-driven insights.

Supply Planning:

  • Implement material requirements planning and production scheduling.
  • Manage inventory to balance availability and cost efficiency.
  • Optimize resource utilization and mitigate supply chain risks.
Performance Reporting:
  • Develop and present key performance indicators related to demand and supply planning.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to senior executives, highlighting key performance indicators, trends and actionable recommendations.

Team & People Management:

  • You will work in a professional, highly motivated, and passionate team of integrated supply chain professionals serving our customers around the globe.
  • You will lead, mentor and develop a team of Sourcing, Demand Forecasting, Production Planning and Materials professionals and build strong teams that thrive in collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement.
YOU HAVE:
  • BS / BA degree in Supply Chain Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years leading teams with experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain planning, or related fields in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful long-term supply chain strategies and building strong teams focusing on continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Robust understanding of financial principles that impact supply chain decisions and the bottom line.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Change management experience and the ability to lead organizational transformation initiatives.
  • ASCM certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel (<25%), domestically and internationally.

Pay Transparency:

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $205,000-$305,000

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual or long-term incentives.
