Inventory Specialist & Cycle Counter

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of JP inventory systems and cycle counting/physical inventory as requested by customers and JP leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with management to implement and maintain cycle counting program.
• Daily Counts of materials and entering necessary adjustments in computer system.
• Provide accurate monthly physical inventories to our customers. Execute all routine customer requests for counts on packaging, raw materials and finished goods.
• Enter cycle counts needed for posting of production.
• Taking the lead role in all physical inventories.
• Maintain a cross reference of all Co-Pack Customer's raw material numbers.
• Coordinate disposition of obsolete, aged and/or defective finished goods (with approval from QA).
• Coordinate disposition of obsolete, aged and/or defective raw materials (with approval from Supply Chain Manager).
• Maintain certificates of destruction (from the trash hauler) specific to lot codes for items placed in the dumpster.
• Work with receiving staff to ensure that all raw materials are labeled correctly on an ongoing basis.
• Inspect the warehouse on a daily basis by auditing the accuracy and availability of material labels.
• Other duties as assigned.
