Position Overview:

REDLattice is seeking a Journeyman Cyber Engineer to join our growing team. This role is designed for cybersecurity professionals with hands-on experience in reverse engineering and vulnerability research. As a Journeyman Cyber Engineer, you will play a key role in analyzing and identifying vulnerabilities in embedded systems, firmware, and communications protocols, contributing original solutions to complex operational problems.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise with tools such as Ghidra and IDA Pro, while applying your knowledge of PCB-level communications (SPI, UART, I2C) to support mission-focused projects. You will also gain exposure to RF communication systems, contributing to protocol derivation and signal analysis. Working alongside a team of highly skilled engineers, you will deliver critical technical capabilities that address emergent cybersecurity challenges in support of national security systems.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, reverse engineering, or vulnerability research.
  • Proficiency with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and identifying vulnerabilities in embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of PCB-level communications, including SPI, UART, I2C.
  • Familiarity with RF communication systems and the ability to assist in deriving protocols from captured signals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing original technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Up to Active TS/SCI clearance required, with ability to obtain additional clearances, as needed.
