Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Responsible for coordinating off-site operations relating to emergency response, coordination of first responders, site education, scene security, and access control.
Essential Functions

Assists patients and visitors as they enter and exit their vehicle while maintaining pleasant and professional manner. Responds to calls for assistance or the transportation of persons, patients, and visitors. Responsible for cart maintenance and cleanliness, and performance logs. Adheres to cart and passenger safety and security procedures. Assists with traffic control by keeping fire lanes, fire hydrants and ambulance entrances free of vehicles; issue parking tickets to those who violate parking regulations. Composes and maintains shift logs and citations. Responds to emergency calls for assistance during helicopter landings, media, drills, and any other events as requested by your direct supervisor. Asks for clarification when unsure of how to perform duties before a situation becomes problematic. Uses time to best advantage. Completes duties and uses time between jobs to departmental advantage, assisting others, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must attend annual in-service training to obtain and maintain special deputy bonding, and pass a departmental physical, psychological evaluation and intense background investigation as outlined by POST Knowledge of hospital security operations, expectations, responsibilities, state laws and departmental policies pertaining to proprietary security organizations. Communication skills. Ability to effectively lead security related operations during volatile incidents and able to make hard decisions without direct supervision. Understands and possesses the personal leadership abilities to maintain a positive working environment. Ability to identify operational inconsistencies, handle unusual, out of control, and inconsistent requests and situations with relative ease. Ability to self-start and know when to involve certain administrative members and outside agencies. Ability to identify educational opportunities and act as a resource to staff in order to maintain compliance and provide a safe environment.
