As a QA Engineer I, you embark on a journey to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Your role involves executing test cases, identifying bugs, and documenting defects. With a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn, you work closely with senior QA engineers to understand testing methodologies and processes. How You Will Make an Impact

  • Perform foundational testing tasks under supervision, gradually developing their skills and expertise in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Create and update test cases under the guidance of more experienced team members. Translate software requirements and specifications into test cases that cover various functional and non-functional aspects of the application.
  • Execute predefined test cases and scripts provided by more senior team members. They perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from expected behavior.
  • Document defects discovered during testing, providing clear and detailed descriptions along with steps to reproduce the issue. Utilizing the bug tracking systems to log defects and track status through resolution.
  • Actively participate in regression testing efforts to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not introduce new defects or regressions in existing functionality. Execute regression test suites and verify that previously fixed defects remain resolved.
  • Contribute to test documentation efforts, including test plans, test reports, and testing metrics. Provide input to test summary reports, highlighting testing activities, results, and any significant findings.
  • Actively seek opportunities to learn new testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.


Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant coursework or training in software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
  • Internship or coursework projects related to software testing and quality assurance.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or Zephyr is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow test plans and procedures.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Enthusiasm for quality assurance and commitment to contributing to product excellence.
