The primary focus of job duties includes supporting the Vice President for Administration for Finance and CF Oin carrying out responsibilities which include managing various departments within the Administration and Finance division including Purchasing, Auxiliary Services, Contract Administration, Logistics, and Mailroom.
DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee operations and delivery of services in areas related to offices under the positions supervision.
- Direct, manage, and evaluate the functions of Purchasing Department including the administration of procurement, supplier management, and other related duties to ensure all University, state, and federal policies are maintained.
- Provide entrepreneurial guidance that utilizes the Universitys purchasing power to lower cost expenditures and increase savings.
- Direct, manage, and evaluate the functions of all auxiliary enterprises, including the university bookstore, dining services, and the print shop.
- Direct, manage, and evaluate the functions of the logistics unit.
- Assist in modifying and implementing University operations policies and procedures, as needed.
- Oversee depreciation, asset tracking, and reporting on capital expenditures.
- Manage risk for the university including but not limited to property and liability insurance coverage.
- Develop risk management strategies, including acquiring adequate insurance for all risks.
- Evaluate risk mitigation efforts and implement changes in consultation with the CFO.
- Responsible for the acquisition, training, evaluation, and development of staff under their supervision.
- Financial management of capital projects and other special projects including Land Grant projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Demonstrated ability in effective planning and policy decision making; knowledgeable about best practices both in the non-profit and for-profit finance areas a plus.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge, skill, and expertise in financial management and administrative operations.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and positions.
- PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, delegate, and perform duties professionally, responsibly, and with integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related field including public administration or five years of equivalent training or related work experience,
- Five years supervisory experience in business services.
- Five years of proven managerial experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree or business administration or related field including public administration or 10 years of equivalent training or related work experience; Five years supervisory experience in business services.
- Seven years of proven managerial experience.
