Overview
The primary focus of a Systems Engineer within IT Operations is to participate in projects that support technology growth and innovation. Systems Engineers also provide advanced technical support for all IT systems including server platforms, storage, and other cross-functional capabilities. They develop and implement new solutions, improve existing solutions, and provide a path of escalation for complex or high-risk IT requests.

Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
- At least 5+ years of proven technology integration experience.
- Experience with multiple technologies, processes, and environments with a proven ability to execute engineering projects.
- Subject matter competency in areas such as Microsoft servers, Linux/Unix systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, storage, and information security.
- Ability to manage situations of a catastrophic failure or of high risk and critical nature and the ability to collaborate with team members and IT management.
- Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Ability to interact and facilitate initiatives with vendors and third parties.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated results orientation, initiative, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
- Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
Base compensation ranges from $86,000 to $118,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
