Job Family Corporate Communications Discipline Government/Community Relations Career Level P5 Salary Range $126,000-$183,000 Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors. Job Family Description Communications personnel develop, plan, design, maintain and implement policies and programs that inform and enhance relationships with customers, local and regional communities, the general public, government and regulatory authorities, employees, and other interested stakeholders. They deliver communications through various media formats to provide accurate and timely information to internal and external audiences. They coordinate dissemination of company communications with news or trade media contacts, through special events and tours, public speaking, or other means to reach defined audiences and meet specific program objectives. Discipline Description Government/community relations personnel develop and maintain policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues that affect the organization and respond to same. They ensure local elected officials and community leaders are educated on the organization's national security missions and positive community impact. Further, Government and Community Relations personnel are responsible for facilitating employee participation in civic and charity organizations, and managing corporate philanthropic giving activities. Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include: Roles in this band must be able to effectively represent the M&O to key Federal, State and Local officials and staff to ensure a comprehensive understanding of areas of need and opportunities for collaboration. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least fifteen years of experience (YOE) working in government positions, preferably in Washington, D.C., OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least twelve YOE working in government positions, preferably in Washington, D.C., OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least eight years YOE working in government positions, preferably in Washington, D.C. Career Band Administrative Support Career Band Description * Roles in this band contribute to the business processes to achieve results by providing administrative support to others who use the resulting information, materials, and/or analysis Career Level Description Recognized as an expert within the company and requires in-depth expertise in own field/discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines, while solving unique problems that have a broad impact on the business. Security Clearance Information SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
