The Director, Senior Litigation Counsel reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Litigation and Ethics & Compliance and is a key member of H.B. Fuller's dynamic global legal team. This role partners closely with internal business stakeholders and outside counsel to oversee a wide range of disputes and investigations, ensuring strategic alignment and risk mitigation across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee global litigation, including mass torts, product liability, commercial disputes, and EHS matters
* Develop and implement litigation and/or settlement strategies, including outside counsel selection and budget management
* Lead privileged internal investigations and liaise with law enforcement as appropriate
* Oversee discovery processes, including interviews, witness preparation, and coordination with internal teams
* Train legal and business colleagues on claims management best practices
* Supervise and mentor litigation paralegals
* Standardize litigation processes including legal hold, eDiscovery, and matter management
* Provide strategic recommendations to evolve the litigation and investigations program
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with business goals and legal compliance
* Prepare executive-level reports and updates on litigation matters

Minimum Requirements

* Juris Doctor or equivalent from an accredited institution
* Licensed to practice law in Minnesota (or eligible to waive in)
* Minimum 10 years of litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
* Experience managing internal and/or government investigations
* Demonstrated proficiency in key competencies: innovation, accountability, performance excellence, change and risk-taking, customer focus, and teamwork
* Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Requirements

* Experience managing and developing legal teams
* Proven success managing outside counsel and litigation budgets
* Strong understanding of eDiscovery workflows and service provider management
* Experience recovering insurance for claims and litigation
* Ability to advise business partners on legal strategies aligned with business needs
* Strategic thinker with ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex legal topics
* Collaborative team player with a client-focused mindset

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. This position is also eligible for Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) and Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) participation.
