Job DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting from sourcing and attracting passive candidates to screening and recommending placement of staff and faculty to fill organizational roles. Key responsibilities include creating a recruitment strategy with hiring managers, understanding of technical skilled trades profiles, networking, coordinating interviews and facilitating job offers and negotiations.

Essential Functions

  • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
  • Administers and monitors progress of requisitions to post; reviews and suggests edits to job descriptions; posts jobs to ATS, develops an appropriate search strategy that includes external job posting sites, associations, social networking sites/events, networking groups, etc.
  • Leverages internal resources to promote recruiting needs; administers employee referral program.
  • Actively engages with hiring managers and key stakeholders, providing ongoing status of requisitions and weekly reporting, advises and influences managers throughout the hiring process, and closes requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or virtually), administers appropriate assessments and makes recommendations for hire.
  • Delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with all stakeholders to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
  • Works with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations. Understanding of EEOC and OFCCP compliance.
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) Workday.
  • Contributes to and provides best practices and process improvements throughout the talent acquisition cycle.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

  • Associate's degree OR high school diploma and 5+ years of recruiting or human resources experience
  • 3 to 5 years of full life cycle recruiting or staffing / business development / sales experience
  • Prior experience acting as Talent Acquisition Advisor/Partner or Strategic Business Recruiter for technical trades roles

  • Ability to foster teamwork and work in a fast paced (ambiguous) environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Skilled in working under specific time constraints and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure hiring managers feel supported throughout the process
