Position Summary:

The Machine Seals Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the production and material flow of mechanical seals to meet customer demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure efficient use of manufacturing resources. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, production, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sealing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for machine seals based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and outsourced parts specific to seal assemblies.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of seals and related components to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management to incorporate design changes, new product introductions, and technical updates into planning.
  • Analyze demand patterns and adjust planning strategies to align with business goals and customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in ERP systems and generate performance reports (e.g., OTIF, inventory turns, backlog).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, lead time reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders regarding delays, constraints, or changes in production plans.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in production or materials planning, preferably in a mechanical or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical seals or rotating equipment components is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., ABAS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.



Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Kanban, or other inventory control systems.
  • Familiarity with seal design, machining processes, and assembly operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning dashboards or analytics tools.
