Job Description

The Quality Control Analyst will review all new and renewed loans post boarding for approval, accuracy and completeness including but not limited to CRE, C&I, Syndication and Small Business. Performs a wide variety of tasks related to quality control review of commercial and small business loans according to established policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines thus ensuring overall quality and integrity of Northwest's 's Commercial and Small Business Loan portfolio.

Essential Functions

  • Perform Quality Control function at the loan level for new loans and maintenance on loan modifications ensuring they are properly translated into the core system to ensure data integrity.
  • Review daily reports to ensure accurate customer billing, rate review, payment changes, transfers, annual reviews, risk rating changes, escrow, collateral and Borrowing Base.
  • Report discrepancies found to relevant units and monitor correction as required.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Use workflows and reports to process tasks.
  • Assist with development, implementation and maintenance QC procedures, user guides and workflow.
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Provide exceptional internal customer experience.
  • Provide input to Data Steward/Data Owner/Data Governance Committee member based on findings/trends uncovered during the QC process to improve overall data quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
  • Complete other duties and special projects as requested by management
  • Manage and complete special projects as needed.
  • Participate on committees and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with Commercial Loan Documentation
  • 2-6 years of exposure to SBA lending
  • 3-5 years of general banking experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of legal language included in Commercial Loan Agreements, Notes, Guaranty Agreements and Entity documents including entity structure.
