Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Corporate Controller. The position is a key leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including oversight of A/P, A/R, Staff Accountants, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Tax functions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supports strategic decision-making through financial insights. The Controller will lead a high-performing team and collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and financial discipline.

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, machine sales invoicing, and fixed assets.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

  • Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies.

  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Support the FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

  • Provide strategic financial insights and performance analysis to senior leadership.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare executive dashboards.

Tax

  • Oversee corporate tax planning, compliance, and reporting for federal and state jurisdictions.

  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and ensure timely filings.

  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure alignment with corporate strategy.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team.

  • Partner with business units to support financial decision-making and operational goals.

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across finance functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in the Finance or Accounting field

  • CPA preferred or 10+ years of progressively responsible financial experience may be considered in lieu of a CPA certification

Travel:

  • Up to 15% travel

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing

The pay range for this position is

$165,100.00 to $206,450.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
