Become a Project Engineer for GeoStructures, Inc.
Responsibilities In this position, you will gain experience that many Geotechnical Engineers look for early in their career but rarely find. We are a design-build firm, so you have the opportunity to see the installation of what you design. You earn cradle-to-grave experience in DESIGN, from preliminary design during the sales phase, being innovate during the value engineering phase, and perfecting your work in the final design phase prior to mobilization to the customer's construction site for installation. This position is more than soil testing or writing geotechnical reports. You will utilize the geotechnical reports to determine which solution solves the project's unique foundation challenges and perform state-of-the-practice engineering analysis for a variety of geotechnical construction applications. You will produce construction drawings and design calculations for a wide range of support of excavation, earth retention, and ground modification projects. When our installation crews mobilize to the construction site, your expertise comes to life, and you will see the result of your hard work and the value your position brings to GeoStructures. Qualifications Qualified candidates should have an E.I.T. certification, a Master's Degree (preferred, but not required) with a Geotechnical Engineering focus, or an undergraduate Civil Engineering Degree with support of excavation design and/or geotechnical industry experience. Knowledge of software packages, including LPILE, SLIDE, GSTABL, SETTLE3D, MSEW, and Microsoft Office products, is a plus. Applicants must have US work authorization to be considered.
