Police Services Support Officer

The Police Service Support Officer will act as an expert to manage, provide guidance, and program oversight for Police Service systems, authoritative databases, reports and analysis functions associated with the Police Service program with the Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC).

As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active Secret clearance to be considered.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Police Services Support Officer : $77,000 - $80,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Police Services Support Officer Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsibilities include direct involvement with all aspects of the Police Services program to include training Security Forces systems operators, trend/data analysis to support law enforcement operations and resource protection at Air Force installations.

  • Responsible to input FD249 fingerprint cards when necessary, using approved systems and processes, and monitor training, trends analysis and statistics to field units and the AFSFC.

  • Assist Security Forces Squadrons Investigators with compliance with DAFMA 31-103V2 (Security Forces Investigations).

  • Establish training, grant access, and monitor utilization of electronic fingerprinting systems, Defense Data Exchange (D-DEX), DataMaxx, Evidence Management Portal EMP, and all other systems managed by Police Services.

  • Monitor and receive reports on negative weapons discharges, arms, ammo, and equipment, FOIAs and Congressional inquiries associated Police Services

  • Submit Monthly Progress Report input to the Senior Police Service Support Officer.

  • Support AFSFC in analyzing existing and developed/developing Police Services systems, policy, solutions and equipment through test and evaluation (T&E)

  • Provide input as it relates to Police Services Support to the Monthly Progress Reports and Funds Status Reports, detailing activities during the reporting month and plans for the following month. The report includes by not limited to: summary of work performed and results obtained, labor hours expended and expenses incurred (include comparison of planned versus actual for labor hours and funding, and explain deviations, current or projected problems and issues and any recommendations related to the effort.

  • Prepare written reports on meetings and conferences conducted or attended that includes attendees, topics of discussion, decisions, action items and issues pending.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Police Services Support Officer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required

  • Understand and be knowledgeable of current Security Forces requirements process.

  • Experience with the funding process associated with the law enforcement (LE) systems life-cycle cost.

  • Experience with the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) funding process.

  • Have recent experience with Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force Police Services and LE systems policy and procedures.

  • Have working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office software.

  • Have Security Forces operational experience and in-depth, experience of DoD, Joint and Air Force security publications.

  • Prior experience as a Security Forces subject matter expert at a MACOM or Headquarters level staff is preferred

  • Understand inventory management and life cycle replacement for equipment requirements

  • Understand systems/security requirements

  • US Passport required

  • May travel CONUS and OCONUS 25% (travel will not be into high risks areas)

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
