Hourly Pay Range: $18.31 - $25.63 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
- Position: Starbucks Barista
- Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL
- Full Time | 40 hours/week
- Hours: Monday-Friday, shifts will vary between 5:30am - 7pm, weekends required: 5:30am - 3:30pm, open availability required
A Brief Overview:
- Functioning in a lead capacity, with direct responsibility for the workload and workflow of the team
- This position creates the Starbucks experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt assistance, quality beverages and products and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.
- Serves customers, operates the POS system, prepares food, cleans area and assists with all food service duties.
What you will need:
- Education: High School Degree or in Progress of obtaining , required.
- Certification: Successful completion of a Food Handler Training Certificate Program (ANSI Accredited) within 30 days of start date of position, required.
- Experience: 2 years coffee shop experience, Starbucks preferred
What you will do:
- Provides direction to the team on assignments. Participates in the completion of work tasks and assists the team with complex work tasks or problem areas. Acts as the "go to" resource for the team. Typically provides input into performance reviews, staff training & development for the team and provides input regarding work assignments. Monitors the completion of work tasks by the team.
- Executes store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Assists the Manager with daily and weekly inventory orders as needed.
- Assists the Manager with developing weekly Schedules as needed.
- Follows Elmhurst Hospital and Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all Baristas during each shift.
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to Baristas on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve partner performance.
- Assist the Store Manager in teaching and training new Baristas.
- May assist in the Cafe as needed.
- Functions as a Barista.
