Maintenance Business Data Analyst

MV Transportation is seeking a Maintenance Business Analyst to support Maintenance and other areas in Finance. This person will work with the Business Development team to ensure that our new and existing maintenance business opportunities are kept up-to-date in SalesForce. This position will also work with other departments such as Finance and Operations to facilitate the gathering and presentation of information from difference sources.

This role requires exceptional communication skills in both the ability to collect information and more importantly, provide KPI's, dashboards and reporting to key stakeholders. Candidates having SalesForce and Access experience are highly desirable.

KEY ACCOUNTABILBITES:

Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, word processing, software, email, Excel, CRM system (Salesforce preferred) & Web-based tools to effectively automate, develop and analyze critical business data
• Ability to turn raw data into logical information for reporting
• A self-starter who has extensive knowledge in reporting and analysis to create and analyze standardized and ad-hoc reports and provide to management or end-user
• Filter and "clean" data. Data preparation and analysis of data
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Work closely with key personnel to define reporting needs and follow through with strategic partners to develop these tools

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or Analytical field

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3)+ years of experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, financial analysis or
• Three (3)+ years as a Business Analyst or Sales Analyst

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong analytic skills, including experience with Advanced Excel functions
  • VLOOKUP
  • Pivot Tables
• Experience in data interpretation and analysis
• Ability to make recommendations and act on findings
• Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills; ability to interface with all levels within the organization
• Dashboard experience
• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • From information in excel spreadsheets, develop templates for various presentations
  • Update presentations as new data is acquired

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Salesforce experience
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Microsoft Access experience
