Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment installations to reduce downtime, improve safety, and support plant projects. Responsibilities Safety & Compliance Support Environmental Health & Safety programs by following all plant policies, procedures, and Amcor Safety Standards. Follow plant and department specific safety requirements including: Wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Follow safe operating procedures, including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E electrical safety standards, comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and others to protect self and others. Report injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents immediately to supervisor. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform regular preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Diagnose and correct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System such as AIMS/SAP to create and complete work orders, document corrective actions, and track labor and material costs. Initiate and document equipment modifications to improve safety, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Equipment & Facilities Support Install, maintain, and repair plant equipment, including drives, motors, cable trays, wiring, HVAC, compressed air, and production support equipment. Support facility maintenance issues to ensure rapid recovery and maintain production schedules. Collaboration & Training Communicate effectively with operators, leads, supervisors, and engineering staff. Additional Duties Execute other tasks as assigned by maintenance management. Knowledge & Skills Strong troubleshooting ability with proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Electrical knowledge of AC/DC systems, low voltage controls, and 480VAC equipment, with demonstrated compliance to NFPA 70E Arc Flash safe work practices. Mechanical skills, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and fabrication. Machining background a plus - ability to use a mill, lathe, and grinder for part repair or fabrication. PLC & VFD troubleshooting and programming experience (Allen Bradley preferred). Familiarity with HVAC systems, compressed air, and facilities equipment a plus. Conveyor systems, motor/pump alignment, and lubrication practices. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and lift equipment (fork trucks, scissor lifts, aerial platforms). Computer skills: Microsoft Office preferred Work Order programs, AIMS preferred Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Education & Experience Associate degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology, Journeyman Electrician, Millwright, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment in a mechanical/electrical support role.
