If so, David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) invites you to consider joining our Salt Lake City office as a Project Surveyor.

At DEA, we are dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional service to our clients. This position offers exposure to both traditional and emerging geospatial tools while working on a wide variety of exciting projects.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage survey projects independently, from start to finish
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand and address project needs
  • Apply knowledge of Utah state and county mapping requirements
  • Ensure compliance with UDOT survey standards
  • Collaborate with DEA staff and clients on diverse projects
  • Mentor and coach junior survey staff (preferred experience)
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Licensed Utah Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), or ability to obtain license within one year if licensed out of state
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant surveying experience
  • Proven ability to self-manage projects and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience working with both public and private sector clients
  • Familiarity with Utah state and county mapping requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience directing field and office survey crews
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior staff within the survey profession
  • Strong computer skills with CAD and land surveying software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Leica, and Trimble
