Facilities Technician- Master/ Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Master / Journeyman Electrician to join our photomask manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems that support production. You will manage contractors and ensure they are complying to code and to the specifications of the project. In addition to electrical systems, this role includes maintenance of steam systems, exhaust systems, and HVAC systems, ensuring optimal facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Electrical Installation & Maintenance: Install, modify, and maintain electrical equipment, including breakers, transformers, motors, and Industrial control systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and predictive maintenance using tools such as thermography and meggering.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical work aligns with industry code, regulations, and safety standards according to Local Code, NEC, and OSHA
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers and technicians to enhance electrical system efficiency and reliability.



Qualifications:



  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Certification: Valid Master or Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in industrial or Plant environments preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot control wiring, and work with high-voltage systems.



Technical Skills:



  • PLC Programming: Understanding Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automation and process control.
  • VFD Installation & Motor Controls: Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret electrical schematics and facility layouts for precise installations.
  • Arc Flash Safety: Knowledge of arc flash hazards and safety protocols to prevent electrical accidents.
  • Building Automation Systems: Familiarity with automated facility controls for HVAC, lighting, and security.



Soft Skills:



  • Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and semiconductor industry standards.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and facility managers to optimize plant operations.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
