What this job involves:

As a Lead Reliability Engineer at JLL, you will drive operational excellence in facility management through comprehensive engineering support for building planning, construction, operation, and maintenance. This exciting role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to develop strategies that ensure safe operations, maximize equipment reliability, and optimize maintenance costs. You'll lead the implementation of advanced maintenance strategies and predictive technologies to enhance system performance and lifecycle cost management while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance across building systems including lighting, HVAC, utilities, and power.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead execution of reliability excellence and maintenance programs while writing and maintaining strategy documents
  • Rank asset criticality using Reliability Centered Maintenance approaches and define cost-beneficial proactive maintenance strategies
  • Identify, implement, and manage predictive maintenance technologies and equipment
  • Administer regional programs including thermography, vibration analysis, and lube oil monitoring
  • Perform operational event and equipment failure investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct periodic audits focused on safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, and energy conservation
  • Support planning, design review, and construction document development for new facilities and renovations
  • Perform life-cycle financial modeling and develop detailed technical proposals and bid documents
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with mechanical design/testing and international quality standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles for building structures and mechanical/electrical equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with facilities/plant management operations
  • Understanding of maintenance optimization and equipment reliability principles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Plant Engineer or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional certification
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, motor current analysis)
  • Background in Root Cause Failure Analysis and Equipment Criticality Ranking
  • Experience with PM/PdM optimization and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
  • Knowledge of utility distribution and master planning
  • Business continuity planning experience
  • Commissioning activities experience for construction and renovation projects
  • Financial modeling experience for technical solutions
