What you will do

The primary role of this Customer Care Sales Representative/Site Manager is to maintain and grow sales within a specific customer account. The representative will develop and execute a customer-focused strategy that will lead to greater retention of preventative maintenance contracts, higher revenue per customer and greater customer satisfaction.

As the Site Manager for this account, you will be responsible for managing the fire alarm contracts and projects, positively representing the company in all client, vendor, and internal interactions. The SM oversees and communicates project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation.You will develop comprehensive project plans to meet schedules and budgets, as well as managing aspects of existing contracts and expanding the services we provide to this client.You will prepare and run Work in Progressmeetings, internally and with the customer.You will understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications for the work we are providing. You will ensure that all AHJ requirements and departmental procedures are followed.You will convey a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for everyone involved, including labor and management.You will coordinate change orders and drive toward overall margin improvement on every job.

This site manager position will also require managing the service contract work for inception to completion for a large client which will include but not be limited to the following activities; Coordinating inspection schedules, monitor and manage inspection schedules, manage and follow up on repair quotes, ensure repairs are completed and retested in a timely manner by tracking progress through status reports, Ensure invoices are delivered to our client timely, and accurately.

How you will do it

  • Methodology - Understanding of Project Management methodology and key knowledge areas: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk and Procurement Management.
  • Communication/Coordination - Responsible for communication and status reporting to project staff, service team, customer and management.Responsible for work plan, ensuring project/service resources are allocated, scope of authority and provides technical advice and problem resolution to all aspects of project.
  • Fiscal - Responsible for tracking projects expenditures and installation progress through reviews, and updates of status reports, and modifies schedules of plans as required. Maintains full financial accountability to project; requires ability to forecast financial trends across project, ability to understand internaland external client cost structures and integrate, or translate to/fromJohnson Controlsaccounting methodology using AIA standards.
  • Quality - Maintain full accountability to project/service quality; conducting inspections of work site, ensuring workmanship meets installation/repair required quality standards and expectations.
  • Customer Service - Provide responsive, concise, and professional support to all customers and other personnel and ensures timely follow-up on all customer concerns and issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the assigned client and develop a positive ongoing relationship with the account regarding all aspects of our relationship (e.g. key decision makers, equipment, service contract, history, etc.).
  • Interface effectively with district operations to deliver and improve service delivery.
  • Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet those needs.
  • Report progress and metrics to sales, operations and corporate teams on a weekly and monthly basis.

What we look for

Required

  • 1-2 years fire protection, construction, alarm/detection, or related project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to be on customer site up to four days per week.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customers.
  • Possess a strong and active working knowledge of MS Excel. Be able to create tracking spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets and create macros.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with employees and customers in difficult situations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a timely manner.
  • Tech-savvy.
  • High degree of self-discipline and motivation.

Preferred

  • Ability to sell intangible services.
  • 1-2 years of sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business or equivalent field.
  • Knowledge of NFPA and IEC standards.
  • NICET Level II or higher preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand complex building architectural, mechanical and electrical documents.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75K-$95K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account project, quarterly, and annual margin. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
