Description

*Offering a $3,000 bonus! *

Location: Methuen, MA. Adolescent Male Program. The Breakwater Program is a long-term treatment program for adolescent males referred by the Department of Children and Families.The Education Coordinator oversees the educational component of the program, supporting the academic progress of enrolled youth. This role works closely with public schools and community partners to ensure students meet academic standards, receive needed support, and are re-enrolled if not currently attending school.

Schedule:8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday

Pay rate: $24.00 - $26.00/hour

The Education Coordinator is responsible for:



  • Servingas the primary liaison between the program and schools to support youth academic success.
  • Coordinatingwith staff, schools, and community agencies to facilitate enrollment and access to educational resources.
  • Conducting weekly check-ins with youth to monitor academic progress and provide individualized support.
  • Ensuring all educational activities comply with program requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Attending relevant meetings and communicate updates to program leadership.


Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience working with youth in educational or community settings.
  • Strong knowledge of educational standards, school systems, and regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Ability to assess educational progress and provide appropriate support or referrals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with schools, youth, families, and community partners.
  • Must have basic ability in use of computers to be able make entries and utilize electronic records.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for school visits or community outreach).
