Role Summary:

Baker Hughes has an exciting opportunity for a Proposals Specialist to join our FPS Onshore Commercial Operations team in Houston, USA.

This is a great opportunity to work in a fast moving tendering environment and be responsible for preparing proposals and winning deals with key customers.

Successful candidate will review documentation, coordinate the bid process, collate internal departmental input/reviews, prepare costing and proposals documentation, and be responsible for bid submission.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review of Customer documentation

  • Internal distribution of RFQ documentation

  • Coordinate bidding process

  • Prepare costing build up based on customer specification and internal feedback.

  • Prepare proposal documentation and submit in accordance with deadline.

  • Coordinate customer clarifications when required

  • Coordination of all follow up activities leading to contract award

  • Review and ensure alignment of any LOI/PO to as bid scope of work.

  • Preparation of handover documentation to project team

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills essential

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal departments, management and external customers.

  • Demonstrates good organizational skills ability to plan workload

  • Ability to work independently and flexibly to customer deadlines

  • Ability to comprehend and apply basic accounting principles and use Excel.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret client specifications

  • Enthusiastic and diligent approach to given tasks
