The Chief of Staff, Digital Technology, serves as a strategic and operational partner to senior technology leadership, driving execution of our technology, digital and data strategies across the health insurance enterprise. This role will report directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO). This role ensures alignment between business objectives, regulatory requirements, and the evolving needs of providers and members. Acting as the connective tissue across executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will champion digital innovation, foster collaboration, and enhance operational efficiency. In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding our digital roadmap while building a culture of accountability and results in support of our mission to deliver high-quality, member-centric care.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with technology leadership to develop and execute the digital roadmap aligned with payer priorities, including member experience, claims automation, value-based care, and provider collaboration.
  • Drive prioritization and delivery of enterprise initiatives such as digital front door solutions, omnichannel member engagement, and provider enablement platforms.
  • Oversee the Digital Technology Office's operations, including staffing, budgeting, vendor management, and program governance.
  • Lead cross-functional digital technology projects (e.g., product launches, claims system integrations, provider portal enhancements) ensuring regulatory compliance (CMS, HIPAA, NCQA).
  • Develop executive communication strategies, board-level materials, and technology roadmaps for key stakeholders.
  • Champion change management efforts to foster digital-first operations across the enterprise.
  • Monitor KPIs tied to member engagement, digital adoption, provider satisfaction, and administrative efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business, Public Health, Computer Science or related field preferred. Equivalent, relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of education
  • 12 years of relevant healthcare/digital transformation experience
  • Proven leadership in healthcare, health insurance, or digital transformation roles (Chief of Staff or similar).
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, payer regulatory requirements (CMS, HIPAA, NCQA), and digital health technologies.
  • Expertise in program/project management, executive communication, and vendor management.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution, influence across functions, and lead organizational change.

Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
