What to Expect

The Software Product Manager role represents a strategic imperative for the Operations and Supply Chain team. This role is tailored to address the intricacies of ERP workflow design, demand planning, material flow planning, 3PL coordination, inventory management, and Tesla software integration. The role connects the site's Operational Plans with customers and suppliers through our proprietary applications.

The role is key to implement and configure Tesla ERP and MRP systems in collaboration with our software developers to build Business Intelligence that communicates business performance and aligns operational production plans across the organization through our suppliers. The person in this role will integrate core business functions such as material consumption, product generation and yield efficiencies in order to offer a unified view of business operations.


What You'll Do
  • Create BI Workflows and dashboards for the site to communicate KPIs such as material consumption, production yield efficiency and finished goods production and lead collaboration with Tesla ERP and MRP providers as well as with site process leaders
  • Lead software development, integration and optimization efforts for the site in collaboration with Tesla's software developers in order to fully implement proprietary Business Intelligence applications that connect site operational processes to data collection process to generate unified operational picture
  • Coordinate demand forecast with supply plan, optimize costs, mitigate risks and communicate at Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Analyze production yield efficiency and material consumption trends to model real world processes with data collection and communicate outward through BI dashboards or reports
  • Create and oversee a material data collection processes and reporting to enable quick evaluation and communication among team members across the company
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure adequate stock and timely replenishment

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a relevant and related field
  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in software integration and supply chain logistics planning, preferably within the chemical industry or a related manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of planning, process and information modeling. Logistics planning, and inventory management experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage process leaders and data management tools to make data rapidly accessible and facilitating smart business decisions
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Ability to influence and lead software developers and business stakeholders
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and MRP (Material Requirement Planning) to include but not limited to WARP, MFS, ION, SAP IBP, Oracle SCM Cloud
