Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $96,800 (minimum) - $121,000 (midpoint) - $145,200 (maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and precedents to provide informed advice to the organization.

  • Contract Drafting and Review: Prepare, draft, and review various types of contracts and agreements to ensure they are legally sound and meet organizational objectives.

  • Compliance Management: Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations by implementing appropriate policies and procedures.

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential legal risks in business operations and transactions and develop strategies to mitigate such risks effectively.

  • Advisory Support: Provide legal counsel and support to different departments within the Industrial business segment, assisting in decision-making processes and resolving legal issues.

  • Policy & Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of contract templates, negotiation guidelines, and training to enhance commercial practices.

Key Skills:

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (required).

  • Legal Expertise: Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal principles necessary to provide accurate legal guidance.

  • Analytical Thinking: Effectively analyzes complex legal issues and data to identify risks, opportunities, and appropriate courses of action.

  • Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally, to convey legal advice and interact with stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving Abilities: Develops innovative solutions to legal challenges, ensuring compliance and mitigating potential liabilities.

  • Research Proficiency: Conducts thorough legal research using various resources to support case preparation and decision-making processes.

  • Negotiation Skills: Skillfully negotiates contracts, agreements, and settlements to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.

  • Attention to Detail: Maintains high accuracy in reviewing legal documents, contracts, and compliance materials to prevent errors and omissions.

  • Ethical Judgment: Upholds and promotes ethical standards, ensuring that all legal practices comply with professional and organizational guidelines.

  • Time Management: Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages time to handle multiple legal matters and meet deadlines efficiently.

Successful Candidates Typically Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial law or a related area, preferably with experience in a corporate legal department and/or law firm servicing the industrial/aerospace/manufacturing sector

  • Expertise with contract law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks relevant to aerospace or industrial manufacturing with international locations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain complex legal issues to non-legal audiences.
