What to Expect Tesla is looking for an individual experienced with quality programs and technical quality processes to contribute to the team managing the quality program at the Cell Manufacturing facility. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing the daily operation of and providing support to users of the quality program. In this role, you will work within the Quality Operations organization. Shift: 5:30PM-5:45AM Option 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday Option 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday What You'll Do Operate in the 'inspect, diagnose and repair' mindset Work closely with manufacturing, process, and quality teams to establish processes and procedures that will ensure consistently high quality Comprehend current production quality trends based on dashboards or from occurrences in the line Execute timely corrective action for quality mitigation and containment Collaborate with engineering teams to support investigation, containment and execution for strategic quality issues Monitor quality, determine the root cause of problems and implement corrective actions and countermeasures Analyze and disposition component and product defects as a member of the Material Review Board What You'll Bring Experienced in QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA preferred Experience with extensive problem-solving and root cause analysis Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Essential Physical Demands: Abilityto wear PPE, which may include a full-face respirator and coveralls as needed due to working with hazardous chemicals Ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 lbs. as needed Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
