About the Role:
The IT Senior Program Manager - Cyber Security provides program level leadership across one or more large initiative and/or several projects with millions of dollars in investment and a direct impact to the entire organization, while managing C-suite visibility and reporting requirements. As the SPOC for the entire program, they direct all facets of the program to include, for example, development of strategies, facilitation of C-suite and business alignment, ensuring the realization of program level benefits, and leading a set of program and project managers to achieve the desired outcomes. The programs they manage are often global in nature, complex technically, organizationally, and politically, and require a much higher level of leadership ability than other programs and projects. The senior program manager can manage outcomes across multiple teams, time zones, and cultures, driving for results in very ambiguous and challenging situations. The Cyber Security Senior Program Manager will specifically be responsible for the security program, which includes complex security systems, processes and coordination, security awareness efforts, documentation requirements, and change management. The focus of this position is to ensure that the cyber security program is running in a consistent, professional, and proactive manner, which requires program management expertise, global process excellence, and logistical coordination and follow-up.
What You'll Do:
* Provides world-class program management leadership of a cybersecurity program aligned with organizational goals. * Ensures the cybersecurity program complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GLBA, HIPAA, NIST). * Supports risk management efforts and documents identified gaps, remediation plans and acceptance criteria. * Ensures proper deployment and management of cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems). * Focuses on program leadership through the program lifecycle, applying program management best practices and different program and project methodologies as required to ensure the program objectives are met and the customer expectations are exceeded. * Works with IT and business executives, IT delivery leads, regional leadership, and project managers to align strategies, governance, goals, resources, schedules, assignments, budgets, risk management, and metrics to ensure delivery of desired outcomes. Act as the single point of contact for the program across US, Europe and APJ. * Ensures all individual projects and workstreams achieve their desired outcomes by providing oversight of schedules, resources, scope, deliverables, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and communications. taking corrective actions proactively. * Drives all communications and reporting across the impacted region(s), developing and continually improving the effectiveness of communications to their stakeholders and senior leadership. * Coordinates all program and project interdependencies to effectively de-conflict resources, assets, and any other constraints or obstacles; Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors * Collaborates closely with executives and project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned program and project managers to proactively manage and mitigate all risks and issues * Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives tasks as needed. * Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department * Drive all required change management, from development of a change strategy and plan, training if required of change champions and project managers, to achieving the adoption rates set forth for the program. * Ensure the operational sustainability of the solution post go-live and that all financial aspects are accounted for in the follow-on fiscal years. * Provide coaching and support to project managers to improve program delivery and aid in their development.
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field with 10 years of experience in information security principles OR master's degree with 5 years of experience information security principles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. * Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, or CIS. * Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GLBA, and CMMC. * PMP certified or equivalent experience * Successful program management experience with multiple complex security programs in IT environments * Track record of managing security program and project managers effectively * Deep knowledge of all program and project management best practices and methodologies *Highly effective inter-personal skills and the ability to work confidently with executives from across the company. *Ability to work proactively, autonomously, and effectively *Excellent written and spoken communication skill; excellent presenter especially to executives. *Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail at all levels of the program. * Very flexible approach, servant leadership style, and a willingness to learn. Preferred Requirements * Security certifications, such as: CISSP, GIAC, Security+, etc. * Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, encryption tools, and vulnerability management tools
