DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Print Production Technician, you will be responsible for performing time-sensitive and data-sensitive mail production activities in a fast-paced environment using the latest technologies. This involves operating high speed printing equipment and machinery for cutting, binding, finishing, and packaging materials for delivery. You will also organize, prepare, monitor, and prioritize job runs to lead work for Print Production Operators. Collaboration is key for troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they arise. Additionally, work includes operating, maintaining, and performing adjustments to machinery used in a mail environment, and following relevant USPS guidelines for inserting and sorting mail. Our team will rely on you to participate in quality assurance and quality control duties to ensure that all jobs are produced according to specifications and that manufacturing deadlines are met. Your work will be essential for creating and producing high quality mail jobs in the most cost-effective way possible. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Essential employee - required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Print Production Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience running production equipment.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
