The IRF Network Design Specialist is responsible for total landed cost studies, packaging, and cost savings initiatives supporting import and/or export flows. This position will work with cross-functional teams including regional IRF teams, International Logistics Procurement, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, ICT, and 3rd party logistics and packaging providers to perform all logistics network design functions to launch new import and/or export lanes required to manage material flow between regions.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Performing business case analysis to cost justify the implementation of Regional Poles
  • Leading the RFQ development and issuance-Working with the respective IRF region and International Logistics Procurement to identify and award logistics service provider
  • Working with lead logistics provider to develop the optimal logistics solution for parts flowing through the Regional Pole
  • Performing international logistics cost studies to support IRF Buy and/or Sell programs and determine part pricing
  • Working with respective Finance and Manufacturing Group Accounting organizations to ensure all financial obligations are adhered to with part pricing and international sales
  • Finalizing and implementing all inbound logistics routings and export flows from the Regional Poles
  • Working with Pole service provider to ensure operational and IT requirements are satisfied to support launch timing
  • Transitioning/handing off to International Operations team upon launch stabilization
  • Oversee International packaging program by working with designated packaging program manager
  • Contacting respective suppliers to verify/validate part and packaging data
  • Ensuring packaging adheres to FCA guidelines

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience
  • Prior experience leading and interacting with multi-disciplinary and operational teams to support launch activities
  • Excellent interpersonal ,written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to comfortably interface with multiple levels of management
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with International Packaging Guideline Production control experience and Finance knowledge preferred
  • Cross-functional experience in Supply Chain Management disciplines with an emphasis on logistics design
