EKG Tech Part-Time

• Perform EKGs and rhythm strips for all patient populations; ensure accurate data entry and timely report distribution.

• Apply, process, and prepare Holter/Event Recorder reports; respond promptly to STAT pages and emergency codes.

• Maintain a safe testing environment and verify patient identity using two identifiers.

• Explain procedures, answer questions, and report critical arrhythmias or ischemia immediately.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a physician's office, transcription pool, or as a department secretary preferred. Previous EKG

and computer experience preferred. Certification as cardio graphic technologist preferred.

Basic Life Support required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.

Must obtain Basic Arrhythmia and 12 Lead EKG Course within 6 months.
