LeMay PCR, a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring for a Union Relief Driver to operate an Automated Side Loader (ASL) truck in Frederickson, Washington. This is a full-time, union position offering local routes, competitive union wages, and a strong focus on safety, stability, and work-life balance.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Additional Hours: Occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed
Compensation
  • Starting Pay: $30.49/hour (91% of union scale)
  • Top Scale Pay: $33.49/hour after 692 hours worked
  • Stable 40-hour workweek with overtime opportunities
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate an Automated Side Loader (ASL) garbage truck on assigned local routes
  • Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Operate hydraulic and joystick controls to lift and empty containers
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional manual collection
  • Interact professionally with customers and represent the company in a courteous manner
  • Comply with all safety protocols and company procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects over 50 lbs
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (rain, heat, cold)
  • Work around moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels
  • Must adhere to all safety standards and wear appropriate PPE
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic knowledge of truck components and inspection procedures
  • This is a safety-sensitive position
