WHAT YOU HAVE:
* EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required.2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in the Electro-Mechanical Field as a Field Service Technician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * SKILLS:Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.Good mathematical skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred. * CUSTOMER FOCUS:Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time, including occasional extended stays.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on systems, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure functionality or diagnose issues. * Perform service tasks at various off-site locations as directed by management. * Read and interpret work orders, test manuals, specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment to be used. * Prepare reports including daily findings, analysis, and solutions; complete travel, time sheets, and expense reports efficiently. * Troubleshoot issues using instrumentation, documentation, and knowledge to identify and correct problems. * Connect units to test equipment, such as motor generators, multimeters, or current injectors, and monitor performance. * Analyze test results to determine causes of failure and implement solutions, including replacing defective wiring and components. * Collaborate with engineering technicians, production staff, and others to resolve testing issues. * Assist with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. * Travel to customer sites for startups, troubleshooting, or training on switchgear operations and equipment.
