Description
Job Summary:

Under direct guidance of the SVP, President of Wealth Management, and in collaboration with Trust Officers, the Trust Administrator is responsible for the interpretation and execution of legal documentation related to estate and trust administration. This role ensures the department's fiduciary responsibilities are met while maintaining and deepening existing client relationships and securing new business from new and existing clients. This position offers a defined pathway for professional growth and may transition into a Trust Officer role based on performance and organizational needs.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee assigned personal trusts, estates, trusts in lieu of probate, agencies, conservatorships, IRAs, OBRA trusts, and other court supervised trusts, per the terms of the controlling document.



  • Provide guidance to customers regarding investments, estate planning, tax planning at the entity and beneficiary level, and long-term family asset planning.



  • Suggest as appropriate and assist in implementing custodial (de facto guardianship) and other personal care services for incapacitated or incompetent beneficiaries.



  • Identify and cultivate new profitable client relationships.



  • Develop and use internal referral relationships with other Bank departments.



  • Continuously review and adapt business practices to align with Bank strategic objectives and goals.



  • Automate business processes utilizing technology.




Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Demonstrated expertise in trust-related tax and legal requirements.



  • Proven ability to build trust and foster long-term client relationships through exceptional service.



  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.



  • Exceptional attention to detail.



  • Strong relationship-building, sales acumen, and interpersonal communication skills.




Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required.



  • Minimum of a yearexperience in trust administration or a related legal/financial role preferred.



  • Actively pursuing or willing to obtain CTFA certification.
