Summary of the Job:

FNBO Flood is the centralized flood department that services all business units and banks to ensure that all loan transactions of First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) which are secured by real estate are conducted in compliance with all applicable federal banking flood regulations. FNBO Flood is responsible for all flood compliance and documentation from origination (excluding initiation of request), monitoring, servicing, and other qualifying events.

About This Role:

Hybrid - Onsite 3 days per week in Omaha

Duties and responsibilities of the role may include:

  • Process incoming flood orders submitted through workflow management system and input borrower information/data into tracking system
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of Zone A and Zone V properties for residential and non-residential properties
  • Prepare and send initial Notice to Borrower when required on properties located in Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA)
  • Analyze, prepare, review, and approve residential and non-residential files for properties located in SFHA
  • Create electronic files of flood due diligence packets for properties not in a SFHA
  • Complete Unimproved Property Validation Form
  • Monitor tracking system reports daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Responsible for following timelines established by reports for notices, force placement of insurance, etc.
  • Initiating force placement of insurance with vendor and reconciling monitoring system reports with vendor reports to ensure adequacy of coverage
  • Prepare force placement letters for expired policies, discoveries, inadequate insurance
  • Balance monthly flood vendor report to monitoring system to ensure appropriateness of tracking
  • Conduct review of private flood insurance policies and if applicable submit to Corporate Compliance for acceptance
  • Process, review, and approve flood insurance renewals
  • Update mortgage system for escrow tracking
  • Process map change notifications from vendor, responsible for researching and initiating force placement OR for sending correspondence if property has been removed from SFHA
  • Recommend enhancements to flood process, procedures, and monitoring system
  • Maintain integrity of information retained in the monitoring system
  • Assist in preparation for compliance audits/reviews/exams

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in lending, loan processing, loan servicing, compliance field, or title insurance
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in compliance-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build & maintain effective working relationships in a team environment
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within established policies & procedures & provide timely customer guidance
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $49,637.00-$81,902.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week.
