We offer relocation reimbursement to support your transition.The Staff Occupational Therapist (Occupational Therapist 2) reports to the Clinical Supervisor and providesboth direct and indirect patient care services. The Staff Occupational Therapist works primarily with adult andgeriatric patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The Staff Occupational Therapistwith specific pediatric competencies and clinical experience may also work with infants, children and/oradolescents.Under general direction and upon receipt of licensed approved provider written referrals, the Staff OccupationalTherapist plans and administers a full range of occupational therapy services for patients with a variety ofphysical and cognitive impairments and functional limitations. Services include patient evaluations usingvarious physical, cognitive, visual/perceptual, psychosocial, and developmental tests and measurements,establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeutic intervention programs, andimplementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing occupational therapy techniques. The StaffOccupational Therapist demonstrates practice competence managing patients of varying clinical acuity andcomplexity. The Staff Occupational Therapist may seek mentoring for novel clinical presentations or areas ofspecialty practice for which the Staff Occupational Therapist is not experienced or certified.The Staff Occupational Therapist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patientcare services, is organized in work habits, and demonstrates effective time management skills. Whileperforming job duties, the Staff Occupational Therapist may also supervise Occupational Therapy Students,Occupational Therapy Doctoral Fellows, and Rehabilitation Aides. The Staff Occupational Therapistparticipates in regular professional and clinical development activities, completing 40 hours or more per year.As a member of the clinical care team, the Staff Occupational Therapist also participates in and may leadcompliance, quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives in the department, local care setting, andorganization.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
