General Surgery & ENT Units (6 Bles and 7 Bles)

Our units specialize in a wide range of surgical care treating patients with various medical and surgical conditions. As part of this highly specialized and dynamic team, you will be involved in the care of patients undergoing:

• General Surgery procedures (for example: colon resection, cholecystectomy)
• Complex ENT surgeries (for example: neck dissection with flap)
• Bariatric surgeries (including gastric bypass and gastric sleeves)
• Urology surgeries(for example: prostatectomy and bladder resection)
• Reconstructive plastic surgeries (including DIEP Flaps)
• Hepatobiliary surgeries(including Whipple)
• And many more specialized surgical services!

About 6 and 7 Bles Units:

• Two 16-bed adult inpatient units(Telemetry and continuous pulse monitoring)
• A great place to grow as anexpert surgical nurseand develop specialized post-operative skills

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

*ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.

*Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.

*Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
