Inova Clinical Analytics is looking for a dedicated Sr. Clinical Data Insights Analyst to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time working Monday - Friday day shift.

The Sr. Clinical Data Insights Analyst delivers actionable insights to clinical and operational leaders, driving informed decision-making and performance improvement. Serves as a subject matter expert in clinical or operational domains.

Sr. Clinical Data Insights Analyst Job Responsibilities:



  • Extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets; recommend data-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop advanced reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI.
  • Present findings using statistical, visual, and narrative techniques tailored to diverse audiences; translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with clinical, IT, and leadership teams to support analytics needs.
  • Support development of dynamic analytic tools to forecast outcomes and enable proactive decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality through validation and continuous improvement.
  • Train staff on data tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance of data extracts with internal and external requirements.
  • Lead small-scale analytics initiatives and pilot projects.
  • Participate in cross-functional innovation projects and performance improvement efforts.
  • Demonstrate increasing autonomy in analysis and decision support.
  • Contribute to the development of analytics standards and best practices across the team.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's Degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced analytical skills with strong grasp of statistical concepts and their application in healthcare.
  • Significant experience in healthcare analytics with domain expertise in clinical or operational areas.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and transformation.
  • Expertise in business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Strong experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) analytics platforms, especially Epic.
  • Working proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g. Python or R)
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare data structures, clinical workflows, and performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, mentor peers, and manage competing priorities effectively.
