The AVP, Syndicated Capital Markets Specialist is a hybrid role supporting the Syndicated Capital Markets team across General Industries and Life Sciences & Healthcare verticals. The role is responsible for all aspects of syndication execution, from pitching and structuring to closing transactions, while working closely with relationship managers, credit, and external market participants. You will play a critical role in supporting deal execution, preparing market and company analyses, and producing client-facing materials. The position requires a balance of technical skills, project management, and external engagement, with opportunities to mentor junior team members and help drive growth across the platform. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.


Responsibilities

Syndication & Execution

  • Support the execution of syndicated loans, managing the distribution process for complex transactions.
  • Assist in drafting and coordinating pitchbooks, lender presentations, offering memoranda, and term sheets.
  • Research and structure comparable transactions to support pricing and syndication strategy.
  • Partner with relationship managers and product teams to deliver tailored financing solutions for clients.

Market Analysis & Business Development

  • Monitor market conditions, comparable deals, and investor appetite to inform structuring and syndication decisions.
  • Prepare research and analysis on prospective borrowers, industries, and capital markets trends.
  • Support senior team members in business development by contributing to client presentations and idea generation.

Platform & Client Support

  • Manage information flow with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Maintain and input data into internal systems for transaction tracking and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve lender and client inquiries to maximize satisfaction and strengthen relationships.

Team & Leadership

  • Provide guidance and training to analysts and incoming hires.
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Credit analysis, Underwriting or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Credit analysis, Underwriting or Risk Management

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Finance/Economics
  • 1 year of Syndications & Capital Markets
  • Formal credit training program completion

Other:

  • Takes initiative, proactive, self starter
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently

The base pay for this position is generally between $140,000.00 and $175,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
