Nexus-PATH is looking to add to our Treatment & Foster Care team! We are looking to add a Youth & Family Skills Coach to our Minot, ND office. Position Summary: As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Youth and Family Skills Coach will provide skills services in the treatment of children, adults, and/or families as prescribed in the client's developed treatment plan as directed and supported by the Clinical Supervisor.  Primary responsibilities:  
 
  - Assists clients in using age-appropriate self-management skills, including communication, self-regulation, self-help skills, play, social, and relationship skills.
 - Provides de-escalation and therapeutic supports as needed with clients
 - Notifies and collaborates with Clinical Supervisor in case of crises and emergencies.
 - Completes clinical documentation in compliance with program expectations; demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills to generate and support program documentation expectations and standards.
 - Attends and participates in clinical supervision and team case consultation meetings in accordance with program expectations.
 - Completes education and training experiences in accordance with program expectations.
 - Ensures minimum hours of direct services as assigned.
 - Maintains compliance with all agency, state, and regulatory standards and remain compliant with all HIPAA regulations. 
 - Assists in implementing responses to youth behavior and other skills deficits according to the developed treatment plan.
 - Recognize and value cultural differences in all aspects of work and service delivery
 
  
 Qualifications:  
 
  - High School Diploma or GED equivalent
 - Some related experience working with at-risk youth and families
 - Ability to pass all necessary background screening requirements per DHS rules and regulations
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry skills required
 - Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations
 - Must have access to use of personal vehicle for business travel
 - Valid driver's license required
 - Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements 
 - Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges. 
 - Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
 
  
 Nice to Have:  
 
  - Bachelors Degree in relevant field of study
 - Prefer knowledge of family-based philosophy and practice
 - Prefer experience in related community-based work, working with families, youth, and trauma exposed children and adolescents
