Job Description

  • Lead development of Missouri S&T's Strategic Space Plan - building on existing data, facilities-condition surveys, and benchmarking against peer institutions
  • Integrate space-optimization strategies (e.g. rightsizing, adaptive reuse) into capital-planning and master-planning efforts
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative unit leaders to understand space requirements; articulate and defend strategic recommendations
  • Actively engage in a cross-functional space-planning committee for governance and policy oversight
  • Maintain and analyze comprehensive space inventory and utilization metrics; produce intuitive dashboards and reports that support decision making. Keep informed on best practices in higher-education space management; recommend new tools, technologies, and operational approaches
  • Monitor and communicate progress on space reduction and consolidation goals
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Design & Construction on renovation, capital projects and space realignment efforts
  • Provide backup to the existing Space Planning Analyst
  • Contribute to policy development, space-request processes, and alignment with institutional planning
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in architecture, Higher-Ed Administration, Planning, Public Administration, or related degrees
  • Experience leading campus space or capital planning in a higher-ed context
  • 5+ years of experience in institutional space planning, strategic facilities management, capital planning or related roles
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $59,738 to $84,968 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
