Gas Network Operations - Gas Control (Melville, NY) Our Gas Network Operations - Gas Control team provides technical compliance support and training expertise to ensure the safe, secure, and reliable operation of National Grid's transmission and distribution systems. This team is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing gas simulation models to support the planning, operation, and optimization of National Grid's gas network infrastructure. As a Gridtern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of simulation results, which are an essential part of the development and training of Gas System Operators in New York and Massachusetts. You will also work independently to collate and analyze large datasets using a variety of simulation tools, methods, and formats to support the department's decision-making process. In this role, you will utilize MS SQL, Reporting Services (MS SSRS), and C# programming, applying your knowledge of stored procedures to support your work. .
Gas Pipeline Safety & Compliance Continuous Improvement (Melville, NY) Our Gas Pipeline Safety & Compliance Continuous Improvement (PS&C CI) team plays a key role in advancing safety, reliability, and innovation across our U.S. Gas business. This team focuses on identifying and implementing improvements that strengthen pipeline safety and regulatory compliance. They lead assessments in high-risk areas, turn lessons from incidents and near misses into lasting practices, and help roll out initiatives aligned with API 1173 and PSMS standards. In addition, they manage compliance recommendations from start to finish, ensuring results while supporting our company's clean energy goals through data-driven insights and collaboration. .
Software Engineering - IT & Digital (Hicksville, NY) Our Software Engineering team is responsible for creating innovative software solutions that support National Grid's field crews and our control room operations. From planning and work execution to network operations, this team takes pride in delivering technology that makes a real difference. .

Our Gridtern Program does not offer relocation, housing assistance, or public transportation reimbursement for Gridterns; however, we can provide a list of resources to utilize in making your arrangements. Please note that as a Gridtern, you must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont. You must also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
