Clinical Informaticist Solution Expert

Edera L3C is a purpose-driven healthcare consultancy that addresses today's challenges and builds tomorrow's solutions by connecting some of the brightest minds in healthcare. Our multidisciplinary teams-spanning management, technology, and creative services-collaborate closely with industry experts to deliver transformational solutions that bridge public and private sector best practices. As an L3C (low-profit limited liability company), Edera places purpose before profit. We reinvest surplus earnings beyond sustainability goals into initiatives that benefit communities and clients, advancing our mission to create lasting, socially beneficial changes across healthcare systems.

Position Description

We are looking for a seasoned Clinical Informaticist with deep, hands-on experience supporting Oracle Health (Cerner) EHR implementations to join our fast-paced, mission-driven team. This is a highly client-facing role that requires someone who can immediately operate as a strategic advisor to healthcare organizations and their end users. The ideal candidate brings a blend of clinical expertise and information technology acumen, using that combination to enhance patient care through the design, implementation, and optimization of healthcare information systems. In practice, this means analyzing clinical data, refining workflows, optimizing EHR performance, training users, and ensuring privacy and security are built into every process-always with the goal of improving decision-making, patient outcomes, and population health.

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, expert-level understanding of the Cerner model, and the ability to clearly assess, recommend, and articulate meaningful system and workflow changes. They must be comfortable quickly sizing up situations, determining the right level of input, and drawing on seasoned judgment-particularly when working directly with senior executives. This is not a role for someone hoping to learn on the job; we are seeking someone who delivers value from day one and embodies the professionalism, collaboration, and execution that define the Edera approach.

The position is well-suited to informaticists who have delivered measurable results across both public and private sector deployments, especially within large and complex environments such as the Department of Veterans Affairs. Core responsibilities include supporting end-user training, providing at-the-elbow go-live assistance, developing and validating test scripts, facilitating workflow design sessions, and guiding data-driven decisions that enhance system performance. While direct Cerner build experience is highly preferred, candidates must at minimum understand configuration principles well enough to make informed design decisions and collaborate effectively with technical build teams. Expertise in at least two Cerner solution areas-and the ability to integrate that knowledge into both configuration and workflow alignment-is essential, along with a strong reputation for effective collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Above all, this role requires someone who is dependable, adaptable, and relentlessly outcome-focused. The Clinical Informaticist must be able to manage multiple workstreams at once, build trust with stakeholders, and deliver high-impact support that benefits both clients and the populations they serve. Success will be measured by the ability to reduce system backlogs, resolve aged tickets, meet or exceed implementation milestones, and drive progress on aggressive project timelines. The right candidate will be proactive in identifying barriers, recommending scalable solutions, and eliminating delays to ensure smooth transitions and strong adoption across the board.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE VA AND/OR DOD EXPERIENCE- Active federal clearance or ability to obtain.

Type of Employment: Full-Time salaried and fully benefited position. Other employment types may be considered.

Work Location/Travel: Significant Travel is expected and applicants should be free from travel restrictions.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $151,000 base salary, depending on experience and location. Competitive salary/pay, potential for bonuses. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is highly competitive but dependent upon employment type (1099, contract, W2).
