Overview: Job Description Summary: Job Description: IGM Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, OH. Development of novel computational and statistical approaches for data generation, analysis, and interpretation of genomic data. Take a lead role in researching, developing, and implementing optimal analysis approach for genomic data set. Support the needs of all aspects of NGS analysis including data generation, analysis, and interpretation, preparing novel methods and technologies for research and clinical production. Min. req incl: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or Biology, plus 2 years of experience with modern NGS tools and analysis of NGS data; 2 years of experience with UNIX/LINUX; 2 years of experience with a scripting language, such as Perl or Python; 2 years of experience with core bioinformatics tools and databases; 1 year of experience with design, development, and deployment of data analysis pipelines; 1 year of experience with software development, including version control, unit and integration testing, documentation, and deployment; 2 years of experience with statistical tests and experimental design techniques; and track record of publication of scientific research and/or method development.
