The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities operations across two manufacturing locations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role includes the inspection, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. Position Responsibilities: * Monitor and report departmental performance against established goals and corporate metrics. * Lead, coach, and develop a skilled maintenance workforce through cross-training, feedback, and succession planning. * Establish and maintain policies that promote employee retention and attract top talent. * Develop and execute strategic plans and financial targets to support operational goals and drive continuous improvement. * Oversee system repairs, monitor performance, and manage spare parts inventory to minimize service disruptions. * Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, EHS(Environmental Health and Safety), security and other departments to align facilities support with customer expectations. * Negotiate and manage contracts for utilities and services (e.g., HVAC, landscaping, snow removal, waste disposal). * Supervise maintenance staff, define required skills and certifications, and implement development plans. * Ensure facilities consistently meet AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards through regular assessments and proactive improvements. * Support Environmental Health & Safety and Security departments with guidance and coordination. * Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization. Skills & Abilities: * Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems * Proven ability to negotiate and manage vendor contracts, budgets, and maintenance schedules * Expertise in cost control, space utilization, and risk mitigation strategies * Experience leading capital projects, renovations, and equipment installations * Familiarity with environmental regulations, waste management, and energy efficiency programs * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS(Computerized Maintenance Management System), BAS(Basic Allowance for Subsistence), ERP systems; CAD experience preferred * Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills across all organizational levels * Skilled in project management and capable of handling shifting priorities * Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field * Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) credentials preferred * 5-7 years of progressive facilities management experience, ideally in EMS(Electronic Manufacturing Services), manufacturing or industrial maintenance * Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations and leading cross-functional teams Work Environment: * Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus * Be available during core business hours (1st shift). Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to multi-shift operations, facility projects and facility emergencies. * 9/80 work schedule. * Occasional travel may be required. * Office located in Lititz, PA, with visits to the Lancaster facility required. |
